The trail dogs are always playin' around with this info. Study hard, but don't forget to check back before race day....and as always JUST FOLLOW THE FLAGS!

A great bit: it’s on a nice wide trail. Be careful when crossing the road. There is some elevation change but the trail is wide and has good footing. At about the 3 mile mark you enter the campground so make sure to follow the pink ribbons. These areas are always confusing so be careful until you get back on the trail. Plus the vandals have been known to play with the flags; just keep left when you hit the campground road and you'll be OK.

The 50M repeats this leg as they start their second loop; they start from the Steinke Aid Station rather than the actual start line for the second loop.

Head towards the lake; have a swim. Then head to East Bluff Woods Trail and prepare to climb! It’s great footing on a great trail that goes up forever … Or so it seems… then head east along the bluff to South Bluff Aid. Don’t expect a fast time!

Climb a bit out of the South Bluff Aid then follow the wide trail until the right turn on to the single track down, down, down to Meadow Aid. Two way traffic on the single track. A bit of a brain-burner across the meadow for the last mile into the aid.

A little course correction so that you’ll have the full 50M/50K/26.2 you came for! I was hoping you'd appreciate a little bit of flat before it's back to the climbs, although it seems you guys actually like the climbs!

Re-burn your brain for a mile then climb the single track back up, share the trail with those coming down. Along the single track for 0.7 then watch for the right turn. Shortly thereafter, WATCH OUT FOR THE BUSY HIGHWAY!!! THERE IS NO TRAFFIC CONTROL!!!

2nd tough leg in a row; you guys are awesome! Out & Back (or should I say "Down & Up"). We couldn't do this event without including most of the first & last legs of the previous years' events; it's a weakness in our moral fiber, I guess.

Almost the same as Rave Run, but this time you turn at 2.6 miles to get to the FINISH! Watch for the signage at the turn, on your first loop, you went straight; this time, turn right.     back to leg summary
